Divine Healing

Hello everyone!

We’re doing well.  Rie broke her good leg five months ago tripping over a rock in the backyard.  Thankfully it healed without surgery.🙏


Big News:  Rie had not been able to raise her right arm above chest level to wash her hair since her stroke four years ago, so I have been doing it for her for the past four years.  It felt like contractures (permanent tightness and scarring) had set in inside her right shoulder joint.


Last Saturday we went to a “March for Jesus” gathering in Kyle where a church elder prayed for the healing of the right side of Rie’s body. The next day we were taking a shower before church. As I turned to wash her hair, I noticed both of her arms were way up there shampooing away! First time in four years! She didn’t even notice it until I mentioned it to her.  Praise God!

12/12/23 Update

 Today is Mia's 16th birthday.  The three of us went shopping for clothes for her yesterday.  It was the first time in over two years that Rie shopped without a wheelchair, using just a standard quad walker.   It almost felt like a normal pre-stroke shopping day, including the backache I used to get whenever we went shopping for clothes! Praise God. ❤️🙏

It’s been one year!

It’s been one year since Rie’s stroke on 7/30/2021. We’re thankful for the steady progress despite so many complications. Every apparent set back has proven to be a set up for something better. Praise the Lord! ❤️🙏
