We got home last night after all tests came back normal and anti seizure medication was started. Rough restless night with headaches, nausea, vomiting and muscle spasms but looking a little better now. Praise the Lord ❤️🙏
Rie’s plastic surgeon appointment today went well. He was pleased with the degree of scalp healing. The plan now is to finish the oral antibiotics and stop the topical antibiotic ointment in five days. No wound care after that if no new concerns 🙏. Follow up in a month. Our house A/C died yesterday. The soonest available A/C repair appointment I could get was in two days. The unbearable 100+ degree heat has trapped the three of us in the master bedroom with a portable a/c unit. Being trapped in this room with Rie and Mia is actually a wonderful blessing in disguise!❤️🙏
COVID is up again in “our” little world: severe cases in multiple family members and close friends, including people who have had COVID before and all the vaccines and boosters. Until further notice, we’re reverting back to electronic connections only (FaceTime, telephone, text, email, etc.). We have three vulnerable persons in our house to protect. Prayers of healing and protection for all.❤️🙏
The first post op night after oral surgery went well. No pain or hemorrhage or swelling or fever. Praise the Lord.🙏 Two weeks of chocolate pudding and ice cream is going to be torture!
Rie underwent oral surgery this morning to extract a fractured upper molar. Of course couldn’t be a routine extraction! Out in 10 pieces with a little struggle and small puncture into the nasal sinus, a common complication of upper back tooth extractions. We have to be very cautious for two weeks to allow healing of the puncture site. We’re living the day by the words my good friend texted me this morning: “I pray the Lord allows you to live minute by minute with no thought for the next minute, or what the day holds. That is the only minute you have. Imagine no doubts, fears, or problems to arise in your mind. What God puts in your life is always a blessing if received with Thanksgiving.” I receive with thanksgiving that the procedure was completed without major complications.🙏
